FONCTIONNALISATION DES SURFACES PAR DES
REVÊTEMENTS À BASE DE LAQUES ET PRODUITS SOL-GEL
Tuesday october 4th 2011 at école d’ingénieurs et d’architectes de Fribourg
Lacquer and sol-gel based coatings have reached the market in the last couple of years. These surface treatments that evolved from important progresses in nanotechnology can be applied on substrates ranging from glass, plastics, metal and wood. The coatings allow for functionalizing the substrate in different ways; the new properties range from hydrophile, anti-stain, anti-reflective, anti-lime, anti-adhesive, anti-scratch to anti-UV etc. The potential of these products is high and by far not fully exploited. Additionally to a large number of companies these products are still unknown.
This conference therefore addressed all companies active in the domain of watch industry as well as glass, wood or metal manufacturing companies. The goal was to establish a contact between commercial suppliers and potential customers.
The event took place on the afternoon of October 4th 2011 at the Ecole d’ingénieurs et d’architectes de Fribourg. The organizer, the Nanotechnology network, gets support from the “Pôle scientifique et technologique du Canton de Fribourg” and the “Chambre de commerce de Fribourg”.
This conference could attract a total of 42 attendants (plus 8 speakers). The attendants mainly were industrial representants of local companies and watchmaking companies.
